PSA | EVGA has updated their warranty terms | Impacts transferable warranty to secondary owner
TLDR: If buying an EVGA product second-hand from another owner, you will still need some form of proof of purchase. You’ll need it in order to get warranty support from EVGA.“
EVGA’s warranty terms for all PC hardware has changed. Below are excerpts from their GPU warranties.
Old Terms - https://www.evga.com/warranty/2011/graphics-cards/
Transferable Warranty (Secondary Owner)
EVGA offers a transferable warranty for products shipped new from EVGA on or after July 1, 2011 so long as the product is in its original factory condition and retains all of the factory labels and stickers. The transferred warranty will not exceed 3 years from the products shipping date from EVGA and will also not exceed the original warranty offered on the product.
And the new terms, which impacts hardware purchased on or after May 25, 2018:

Transferable Limited Warranty (Second-Hand Purchasers)
Subject to the terms and conditions of this Limited Warranty, the Transferable Limited Warranty is available to second-hand purchasers with a valid proof of purchase from a reseller. The limited warranty on any Product which was originally shipped from EVGA or an Authorized Reseller as a demo or prize is not transferable to second-hand purchasers and is not covered by the Transferable Limited Warranty.
Before making this post, I went searching to see if the media covered this (and if it was addressed in this sub). Here’s what I found.
HardOCP - "EVGA Quietly Changes Warranty Policy”, article dated June 6, 2018
However their quote from an EVGA rep has since been clarified/retracted, special thanks to /u/TaintedSquirrel for digging this up:

Secondhand Owners - Secondhand owners of a product shipped from EVGA on or after May 25th, 2018 must provide a proof of purchase of the sale from the previous owner to you, the current owner.
Secondhand owners should provide a proof of purchase showing the sale between the current owner (i.e. YOU) and previous owner (i.e. the person selling the card). This may be as simple as a screenshot of a PayPal invoice, Venmo invoice, Amazon Payments invoice, Ebay invoice, etc. It is understood that sometimes sales are not done online, so another means of showing the sale, even if it’s made for the purpose of this proof of purchase, is acceptable.
Secondhand owners should not provide the original owner’s proof of purchase from an authorized reseller, or the proof of purchase between previous owners of the card.
EDITS: Massive cleaning/reorganizing to make it shorter and more readable.
